EU Initiates Anti-Dumping Probe on Cold-Rolled Steel Coils
On September 18, 2025, the European Commission (EC) issued a Notice of Initiation of an anti-dumping investigation concerning certain cold-rolled steel coil products originating in India, Japan, Taiwan, Turkey, and Vietnam, imported into the European Union (EU).

Investigation duration: The investigation is expected to conclude within 12 months and may be extended but not exceeding 14 months from the date of the initiation notice.
In the Notice of Initiation, the EC provided detailed information concerning the applicant, the products under investigation, allegations of dumping, injury and causal link, allegations of government intervention in input prices, investigation procedures and timelines, rules regarding the rights and obligations of interested parties, as well as instructions on the procedures for uploading and publishing documents via the EC’s TRON electronic system.
The Trade Remedies Authority of Vietnam (TRAV) recommends that the Vietnam Steel Association, as well as Vietnamese producers and exporters of the investigated products, carefully review the attached documents, fully and comprehensively cooperate with the EC in providing information and documents in accordance with prescribed formats and deadlines, and maintain regular coordination and communication to ensure timely support from TRAV
